Our Process

A considered approach, from first conversation to final fit.

Here is a general outline of how an inquiry may proceed. Every garment and request is different, so details are always confirmed directly with Trenzo Designs.

  1. 01Initial inquiry
  2. 02Consultation
  3. 03Assessment and tailoring
  4. 04Review

The four stages

  1. Stage 01

    Initial inquiry

Man in a tweed jacket adjusting the strap of a leather bag

You get in touch by email, phone or the contact form and describe the garment, the occasion, your preferences and anything you already know you need.

    • The garment or suit in question
    • The occasion or date, if there is one
    • What you would like to change or achieve
  2. Stage 02

    Consultation

Man in a navy suit fastening his jacket in a bright corridor

A conversation about the look you want, any fit concerns, the condition of the garment and the tailoring it may need.

    • How the garment fits and feels today
    • The silhouette and details you prefer
    • Whether the garment is a good candidate for the work
  3. Stage 03

    Assessment and tailoring

Hands working with suiting fabric and a paper pattern on a wooden table

The appropriate work is determined, and the scope, availability and other relevant details are confirmed directly with Trenzo Designs before anything goes ahead.

    • What work is suitable for the garment
    • Scope, availability and timing, confirmed directly
    • Any details specific to your request
  4. Stage 04

    Review

Man in a dark suit checking the fit of his jacket

You and Trenzo Designs discuss the result together, along with any next steps that have been agreed.

    • How the garment now fits and feels
    • Any agreed next steps

Before you reach out

Three things that make it easier.

None of these are required. They simply help the first conversation get to the point sooner.

  1. i.

    Know the garment

A short description of the suit or formalwear you have in mind, and whether you already own it.

  2. ii.

    Know the date

If you have an event coming up, share the date early so timing can be discussed honestly.

  3. iii.

    Know the feeling

Describe how you want to look and feel. "Sharper", "more comfortable" and "less boxy" are all useful starting points.
